James Dixon: The WWF returns home to Madison Square Garden for the first pay-per-view event at the historic building since Survivor Series 1996. That was a tremendous card, and PPV shows at the Mecca usually are. Attitude is now taking the WWF to the next level and although the free Monday Night Raw television show has been must-see stuff, the PPVs this year have ranged only from poor to mediocre. Despite the entirely new look and feel of the WWF in 1998, they have retained tradition by setting up MSG with its classic entrance behind the ring. I approve; it just doesn’t feel the same when they mess with the set-up of the venue.
