Rock Bottom

Summary: I wouldn’t go so far as to call this a total disaster, but it was definitely not a good show. The highlight was unquestionably the Owen Hart-Steve Blackman match, with the two main events really letting the side down. Austin-Taker was a mess, with a silly gimmick attached to a nothing brawl, and a terrible finish to boot. Mankind against Rock was just completely underwhelming, and would have been better suited on Raw. The same can be said for the majority of the show actually, because nothing meant anything or went anywhere, it just happened and then became instantly forgettable. Like much of the era, this show was very much in the moment and doesn’t hold up well through history at all. Give it a miss.
Verdict: 34
