Summary: It is perhaps the finest card of the era. Not only does it boast a bona fide classic between a returning wrestling legend and the WWE’s leading heel, but there are also four other matches over ***, and nothing that is even approaching bad. When the worst thing on the card is an Undertaker-Test match that still surpasses DUD-level expectations, you are onto a winner. Some perhaps do not hold SummerSlam 2002 in high regard due to it taking place in a fairly bad era for pro wrestling, but they should. It’s a superb show, one that comfortably sits atop the pile with other WWF classics such as WrestleMania X and Canadian Stampede. A must see, double thumbs up event.
Verdict: 100
